Objectives:

1. Training the doctor of the health center and her assistants for the workshop and basic knowledge of optometry

2. Participating in an international project to support orphaned and affected children of aids

3. Working with luis rodriguez, a spanish professor of professional formation in a salesiano center. The workshop that was set up a year before in maputo was transferred here. Luis was in charge of the machines and chose 2 volunteers to learn how to use the bevelling machines. After several hard working days the first 30 glasses were done. In addition we left a stock of lenses and frames..
